The author invites from the library or the Invite button on the desk. Guests open typewriter.digital/invite/… — the URL never includes a manuscript id.

Beta readers and editors leave notes and highlights on the page. Editors can suggest; you accept or reject. Nobody silently overwrites your draft unless you gave them a coauthor seat.

Open Manuscripts and use Invite on the book row, or open the book and hit Invite in the desk header. Email goes out; you can also copy the private link.
